This Privacy Policy explains how the Sport Is Cool mobile application (the “App”) handles information. Please read it before using the App. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information You Give Us

The App does not ask you to create an account, and it does not ask for your name, address, phone number or any other information that identifies you personally. Anything you enter in the App — such as training notes, goals, followed leagues, quiz results or display settings — is stored on your device only. We do not receive a copy of it.

2. Information Collected Automatically

When the App loads content it makes ordinary network requests to our servers. As with any internet service, those requests carry technical details that are needed to deliver a response, including:

• your device’s IP address;
• the type and version of your device, operating system and browser engine;
• the address requested and the date and time of the request;
• basic diagnostic information about failed requests.

This information is used to operate and secure the service, and to diagnose faults. It is not used to build a profile of you and is not sold.

3. How Information Is Used

We use the information described above only to:

• deliver the sports content, scores and articles the App displays;
• keep the service running correctly and detect abuse or technical problems;
• improve the reliability and performance of the App;
• comply with applicable legal obligations.

4. Storage on Your Device

To keep the App fast and usable with a weak connection, content that has already been downloaded is cached on your device, alongside your own settings and entries. This data stays on your device and is removed when you delete the App.

5. Third Parties

The App displays sports information and web pages that may be provided or hosted by third parties. When such content loads, the provider of that content receives the technical request details described in Section 2 and applies its own privacy practices, which we do not control. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party service you interact with.

We do not sell, rent or trade information about you, and we share information with third parties only where it is necessary to operate the service or where the law requires it.

6. Data Retention

Technical request logs are kept only for as long as they are needed for the purposes described in this policy, and are then deleted or aggregated so that they no longer relate to an individual request.

7. Children

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided such information, please contact us using the address below and we will delete it.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information relating to you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because the App does not collect information that identifies you personally, we may be unable to link a request to a particular person. You can remove all data the App holds on your device at any time by deleting the App.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version will be published at this address with a new “Last updated” date. Continuing to use the App after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
